John Silver Original Filter

John Silver Original Filter is a Swedish brand of cigarette filters, originally launched in 1947 by Tobaksmonopolet, a Swedish tobacco company. The brand was named after the fictional pirate Long John Silver from the novel 'Treasure Island'. In 1999, the brand was sold to Austria Tabak, and after further acquisitions, it became part of Japan Tobacco Inc. in 2007. The filters are manufactured in multiple countries, with JTI Sweden handling production and distribution in Sweden.
