Bang Energy Drink

Bang Energy is an American brand of energy drinks introduced in 2012 by Vital Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (VPX), founded by Jack Owoc. The brand gained popularity for its low-sugar, high-caffeine beverages marketed as performance energy drinks. In July 2023, Monster Beverage Corporation acquired VPX for $362 million, including the Bang Energy brand and a beverage facility in Phoenix, Arizona. Prior to this acquisition, Bang Energy had an exclusive distribution agreement with PepsiCo in the United States, which ended in June 2022. The brand offers a variety of flavors and is known for its distinctive marketing strategies targeting fitness enthusiasts and younger demographics. As of 2023, Bang Energy was the fourth-highest-selling energy drink in the United States, behind Monster, Red Bull, and Celsius. The acquisition by Monster Beverage has integrated Bang Energy into a larger portfolio of energy drinks, potentially expanding its market reach and distribution channels.
