Ritter Sport is a German brand of chocolate bars produced by the family-owned company Alfred Ritter GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Waldenbuch, Germany. The company was founded in 1912 by Clara and Alfred Eugen Ritter and has remained family-owned since its inception. Ritter Sport is renowned for its square-shaped chocolate bars, each divided into 16 smaller squares, creating a four-by-four pattern. The brand offers a wide variety of flavors, including milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and specialty combinations. Ritter Sport's products are available in over 100 countries worldwide, with a market share of 22.4% in the 100-gram bar segment in Germany as of 2020. The brand's slogan, 'Quadratisch. Praktisch. Gut.' ('Square. Practical. Good.'), reflects its distinctive square packaging and commitment to quality.
