Dr Pepper is a unique soft drink created in the 1880s by pharmacist Charles Alderton in Waco, Texas. It was first nationally marketed in the United States in 1904. The brand is currently owned by Keurig Dr Pepper Inc., a major American beverage company formed in 2018 through the merger of Keurig Green Mountain and Dr Pepper Snapple Group. Keurig Dr Pepper is controlled by JAB Holding Company, a Luxembourg-based investment firm managed by the Reimann family. Dr Pepper is manufactured in multiple countries, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea, and various European nations, with distribution handled by Keurig Dr Pepper, The Coca-Cola Company, and PepsiCo in different regions.
