Daim is a classic Scandinavian chocolate bar recognized for its unique crunchy butter almond caramel center coated in smooth milk chocolate. The brand's history dates back to 1952 when it was created by the Swedish confectionery company Marabou in Stockholm. Originally launched as 'Dajm' in Sweden and Norway in 1953, the product was renamed 'Daim' in 1990 to align its branding internationally.

The recipe for Daim was famously inspired by the American Heath bar. Although the American manufacturer declined to license the exact recipe, they provided a list of ingredients that allowed Marabou to develop its own successful version. Production has traditionally been centered at the factory in Upplands Väsby, near Stockholm, Sweden, which remains a primary manufacturing hub today.

Following a series of corporate acquisitions, the brand was purchased by Kraft Foods in 1993. When Kraft Foods split its business in 2012, Daim became part of Mondelēz International, a global leader in the snacking industry. Today, Mondelēz continues to manage the brand's production and global distribution, ensuring this iconic treat reaches fans across Europe and beyond.
