The brand was originally created by Marabou in Sweden in the 1950s after the company was inspired by the American Heath bar. Today, the brand is owned by the American multinational conglomerate Mondelez International. While the primary manufacturing facility remains in Upplands Väsby, Sweden, the products are distributed worldwide.
