Tempo is a German brand of paper handkerchiefs, first introduced in 1929 by Vereinigte Papierwerke AG. The brand became synonymous with tissues in Germany, and its name is often used generically for paper handkerchiefs. In 2001, the brand was acquired by SCA, which later became Essity. Essity is a global hygiene and health company headquartered in Sweden, specializing in products such as tissue, feminine care, and incontinence products. The Tempo brand is now managed by Essity Germany GmbH, a subsidiary of Essity.
