Motorola Mobility Smartphones

Motorola, originally founded in 1928 as Galvin Manufacturing Corporation, was a pioneer in mobile communications. In 2011, it split into two entities: Motorola Solutions, focusing on enterprise solutions, and Motorola Mobility, concentrating on consumer electronics. Google acquired Motorola Mobility in 2012 for $12.5 billion, primarily for its patent portfolio. However, in 2014, Google sold Motorola Mobility to Lenovo Group for $2.91 billion, excluding certain assets. Lenovo continues to produce smartphones under the Motorola brand, with manufacturing in multiple countries.
