LU is a French biscuit brand founded in 1846 by Jean-Romain Lefèvre and Pauline-Isabelle Utile in Nantes, France. The brand is renowned for its Petit Beurre biscuits, which have been a staple in French households for over a century. In 1986, LU was acquired by Groupe Danone, and in 2007, it became part of Kraft Foods Inc. (now Mondelez International) following Kraft's acquisition of Danone's global biscuit business. Today, LU continues to produce a variety of biscuits, including the iconic Petit Beurre, under the ownership of Mondelez International.
