Pepsi-Cola

Pepsi-Cola was created in 1893 by Caleb Bradham, a pharmacist from New Bern, North Carolina. Initially named 'Brad's Drink,' it was renamed 'Pepsi-Cola' in 1898, combining 'Pepsi' (advertised to relieve dyspepsia) and 'Cola' (referring to the cola flavor). In 1961, the name was shortened to 'Pepsi.' The brand has evolved over time, with significant milestones including the merger of the Pepsi-Cola Company and Frito-Lay, Inc. in 1965 to form PepsiCo. Today, PepsiCo is a global leader in the food and beverage industry, with Pepsi-Cola as its flagship product.
