Volvic is a world-renowned brand of mineral water sourced from the Volvic commune in the Auvergne region of central France. The water is naturally filtered through layers of volcanic rock—specifically scoria and basalt—in the Chaîne des Puys, which gives it its unique mineral composition and characteristic taste. The brand was officially founded in 1938 when the local spring began commercial production, although the geological source dates back thousands of years.
Today, Volvic is owned by Danone, a French multinational food-products corporation headquartered in Paris. Danone acquired the brand in 1992, integrating it into its Waters division, which also includes brands like Evian. Volvic is exported to over 60 countries and is particularly popular in Europe and Asia. The packaging shown in the image features a collaboration with French rugby star Antoine Dupont, highlighting the brand's deep-rooted connection to French culture and sport. All Volvic water is bottled at the source in France to ensure the purity and natural properties of the volcanic filtration are preserved.
