MAX Premium Burgers is Sweden's oldest burger chain, founded in 1968. The company is family-owned and operates over 170 restaurants worldwide, including locations in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Poland. MAX is known for its commitment to sustainability, being the first fast-food restaurant in the world to label and compensate for the food's impact on the environment. The company aims for every second meal sold in their restaurants to consist of something other than beef by 2022. Since 2018, the whole MAX menu is climate positive. The company is led by President Richard Bergfors, son of the founder.
