Jolly Time Pop Corn is a century-old, family-owned brand originating from Sioux City, Iowa. The American Pop Corn Company, founded by Cloid Smith in 1914, introduced Jolly Time as the first-ever branded popcorn. The company remains family-operated, with the fourth generation of the Smith family at the helm and the fifth generation also employed in the business. In 2024, Steve Huisenga became the first non-family member to serve as president, marking a significant leadership transition. Despite this, the Smith family continues to maintain full ownership and involvement in the company's operations. Jolly Time products are sold in all 50 states and over 30 countries, reflecting its enduring presence in the snack industry.
