Amora Mayonnaise de Dijon

Amora is an iconic French brand deeply rooted in the culinary heritage of Dijon, France. Originally founded in 1919 by Armand Bizouard, the brand became legendary for its mustards and vinegars. For decades, Amora has been a staple in French households, known for its "Mayonnaise de Dijon" which features a distinct recipe using French eggs and authentic Dijon mustard as a base.

While the brand started as an independent family enterprise, it merged with Maille in the 1930s to form Amora-Maille. Over the years, the ownership passed through various food conglomerates including Danone. Today, Amora is owned by Unilever, one of the world's largest consumer goods companies headquartered in the United Kingdom. Despite this international ownership, the brand maintains its French identity and continues most of its production within French facilities, specifically in sites like Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur.
