SB12 Mouthwash

SB12 is a scientifically developed mouthwash brand famously known for its long-lasting 12-hour protection against bad breath. The product was originally developed by researchers at the University of Oslo in Norway and launched by the Swedish pharmaceutical company Meda AB.

Over the years, the brand has undergone several changes in ownership. In 2016, Meda AB was acquired by Mylan, which subsequently merged with Upjohn (a former division of Pfizer) in 2020 to form the global healthcare giant Viatris. Most recently, in July 2024, Viatris finalized the sale of its over-the-counter (OTC) business to the French-headquartered Cooper Consumer Health. Consequently, the brand is now under the umbrella of Cooper Consumer Health, which is backed by the private equity firm CVC Capital Partners.

Manufacturing of SB12 (and its international variant CB12) takes place across multiple facilities in Europe to cater to its global market. Primary production sites associated with the brand's heritage and current structure include Ireland and France (specifically at the Mérignac site acquired from Viatris).
