Römerquelle is one of Austria's most prominent mineral water brands, dating back to 1925 when its source was first commercially utilized in Edelstal, Burgenland. The branding draws inspiration from ancient Roman history, as the thermal springs in the region were known to the Romans nearly two millennia ago. The brand has built a reputation for its balanced mineralization and premium glass bottle packaging.

In terms of ownership, the brand underwent a significant transition in 2003 when it was acquired by Coca-Cola HBC (Hellenic Bottling Company) from the Brau Union. Today, the extraction and bottling operations remain centered at the original spring in Edelstal, which is a state-of-the-art production facility. This ensures the product maintains its local heritage while benefiting from the global distribution network and logistical power of the Coca-Cola system.
