Despite this expansion, the brand maintains its Swiss heritage and continues to be associated with Switzerland. The primary owner of Toblerone is Mondelez International, a U.S.-based company formed in 2012 after spinning off from Kraft Foods. Mondelez International is headquartered in Deerfield, Illinois, and owns a diverse portfolio of brands, including Oreo, Cadbury, and Trident.
