The brand remains under the ultimate ownership of the Persson family, who founded the company. H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB is a publicly traded company on the Nasdaq Stockholm, but the founding family maintains a controlling interest, ensuring the brand's Swedish heritage remains central to its corporate identity.
