Mirinda is a carbonated soft drink brand that originated in Spain in 1959 and is currently owned by PepsiCo. The brand offers a variety of fruit-flavored sodas, including lemon, orange, grapefruit, apple, and strawberry. Mirinda is sold in multiple countries worldwide, with production facilities in various locations to meet global demand. In the United States, Mirinda was introduced in late 2003 and was sold at a reduced price to compete with Coca-Cola's Fanta brand. Since 2005, Mirinda flavors have largely been sold under the Tropicana Twister Soda brand in the U.S., except in Guam, where Pepsi began selling it under the Mirinda brand in 2007. The brand's name, 'Mirinda,' is derived from the Esperanto word meaning 'wonderful' or 'admirable.'
