Sensodyne Toothpaste

Sensodyne is a toothpaste brand specifically designed for individuals with sensitive teeth. It was first introduced in 1961 by the Block Drug Company, a Brooklyn-based firm established in 1907 by pharmacist Alexander Block. In 2000, Block Drug was acquired by SmithKline Beecham, which later became part of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). In July 2022, GSK spun off its consumer healthcare division, creating Haleon, which now owns the Sensodyne brand. Sensodyne products are manufactured in multiple countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and India. In India, Sensodyne toothpaste is produced in Goa, while toothbrushes are made in Silvassa. The brand is marketed under the name Shumitect in Japan. Sensodyne's primary owner, Haleon, is headquartered in the United Kingdom and operates globally, offering a range of consumer health products.
