Crosse & Blackwell is a British brand known for its condiments, particularly the Branston Pickle, which was first made in 1922 and has become Britain's most popular pickle. The company was founded over 250 years ago in London as the West and Wyatt grocery business and was later bought by Edmund Crosse and Thomas Blackwell, whose newly renamed business grew rapidly. In 1960, Crosse & Blackwell became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nestlé S.A., a Swiss multinational food and beverage company. The brand continues to produce a variety of condiments and sauces, including chutneys, sauces, and pickles, and is sold in more than 50 countries.
