Becel Original Margarine is a plant-based spread produced in Canada. The brand Becel originated in the Netherlands and was initially owned by Unilever. In 2018, Unilever sold its margarine and spreads business to KKR & Co. Inc., which then formed Upfield to manage these brands. Becel is now owned by Upfield, a company headquartered in the Netherlands.
