LG Electronics

LG, an abbreviation of 'Lucky-Goldstar', is a global leader in the electronics and home appliance industry. The brand's journey began in 1947 with the establishment of Lak Hui Chemical Industrial Corp. by Koo In-hwoi in South Korea, primarily producing cosmetics and household chemicals. In 1958, the electronics division was founded as GoldStar, which went on to produce South Korea's first radio, television, and refrigerator.

In 1995, the two entities officially merged and rebranded as LG to compete more effectively in the international market. Today, LG Electronics is a major subsidiary of LG Corp., one of South Korea's largest conglomerates (chaebol), and is headquartered in the LG Twin Towers in Seoul. While South Korea remains a primary manufacturing and R&D hub, the company has a vast global manufacturing footprint with major facilities in Vietnam, India, the United States, and Mexico to serve regional markets.
