Fernet-Branca Liqueur

Fernet-Branca is an Italian amaro, a type of bitter liqueur, formulated in Milan in 1845 by herbalist Bernardino Branca. The recipe, which remains a closely guarded secret, includes a blend of 27 herbs from four continents, such as aloe from South Africa, rhubarb from China, gentian from France, and galingale from India or Sri Lanka. The liqueur is aged for at least one year in oak barrels, resulting in a light brown color with amber hues and an intense, balanced aroma.
