He drew inspiration for the name 'TUC' from the acronym 'Trade Union Corporation,' which he saw in a newspaper.

Over the decades, the brand's ownership has evolved through several major food conglomerates. While it started with the Parein family, it was later acquired by Générale Biscuit, then Groupe Danone, and eventually Kraft Foods. Today, TUC is a flagship brand under Mondelēz International, one of the world's largest snack companies. Due to its massive global footprint, TUC crackers are manufactured in various facilities across Europe and other regions to serve local markets.
