Based in Palatine and Huntley, Illinois, Weber has maintained a strong manufacturing presence in the Chicago suburbs for decades.

While the brand is deeply rooted in the United States, its manufacturing strategy has evolved into a global operation. Many of its premium series, such as the Q, Summit, and Charcoal lines, continue to be manufactured in Illinois using 'globally sourced components.' However, lower-tier models like the Spirit II are often manufactured in China. In recent years, ownership has transitioned from the founding Stephen family to private equity; after a brief period as a public company, it was taken private by BDT & MSD Partners in 2023. By 2026, the brand has further expanded its ecosystem through mergers, including a high-profile partnership with Blackstone Products to form the Weber Blackstone entity, and exclusive distribution deals with Ace Hardware.
