Bautz'ner is a quintessentially German brand of mustard, originally established in the town of Bautzen, Saxony. It emerged as one of the most iconic food products from the former East Germany (GDR) and managed to maintain its market dominance after the German reunification. To this day, the product is primarily manufactured in its historic production site in Bautzen.

Since 1992, the brand has been owned by the Develey Senf & Feinkost group, a prominent European condiment manufacturer. This acquisition allowed the brand to expand its presence across the entire German market while preserving its traditional recipe and cultural identity. The ownership remains under Develey, which is a family-owned company headquartered in Unterhaching, Germany.
