Corona Extra is one of the world's most recognizable beer brands, famously served with a slice of lime. It was first brewed in 1925 at Cervecería Modelo in Mexico City. The brand quickly grew to become Mexico's leading beer and a major international export, defining the 'Mexican Lager' category globally.

Ownership of the brand is unique due to antitrust regulations. Outside of the United States, Corona is owned and distributed by Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world's largest brewing company. However, within the United States, the brand is owned and operated by Constellation Brands, following a deal mandated by the Department of Justice during the 2013 merger of AB InBev and Grupo Modelo. While most Corona sold globally is still brewed in large-scale facilities in Mexico, production for certain international markets has expanded to other regions under AB InBev's supervision.
