Tuborg Påskebryg, commonly known as 'Kylle Kylle' due to the iconic yellow chick on the label, is a seasonal Danish Easter beer first introduced in 1906. It is a golden lager with a slightly higher alcohol content and more malt character than a standard pilsner, specifically crafted for the Easter holiday season.
The Tuborg brand was founded in Hellerup, Denmark, in 1873 by Carl Frederik Tietgen. In 1970, Tuborg merged with its long-time rival United Breweries (Carlsberg), forming a massive brewing entity. Today, the brand is fully owned by the Carlsberg Group, which is headquartered in Copenhagen. While Tuborg Påskebryg is most famously associated with Danish production and holiday culture, Carlsberg's global footprint means the brand is brewed in over 70 countries through various subsidiaries and local manufacturing plants.
