Hertog Jan is a premium Dutch beer brand named after John I, Duke of Brabant. The brand was established in 1981 by the Arcense Stoombierbrouwerij in Arcen, Limburg, Netherlands. It is known for its traditional brewing methods and historical connection to the region of Brabant.

While the brand maintains its artisanal image and original brewery location for specialty beers, it is now part of a global conglomerate. In 1995, Hertog Jan was acquired by Interbrew, which through a series of mergers became Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev). Today, it remains one of the flagship Dutch brands under the AB InBev portfolio, primarily manufactured in the Netherlands for the domestic and European markets.
