Heinz Minestrone Soup is a classic canned meal produced by one of the world's most iconic food brands. Originally founded in 1869 in Pennsylvania, USA, the brand expanded rapidly to the United Kingdom, where it became a cultural staple. Today, much of the soup production for the European market, including Sweden, takes place at the Kitt Green factory in Wigan, England, which is one of the largest food processing plants in the world.
The Heinz brand is currently under the ownership of Kraft Heinz, a multi-national food giant formed by the merger of Kraft Foods and H.J. Heinz Company in 2015. While the brand has American roots, its canned soups are deeply integrated into the British manufacturing landscape and are distributed globally through various local subsidiaries.
