Pokémon Trading Card Game

The Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) is a massively popular collectible card game that originated in Japan. Based on the Pokémon media franchise, it was first published in 11996 in Japan by Media Factory and later brought to the global market by Wizards of the Coast.

Today, the brand is managed by The Pokémon Company. Most English-language cards are manufactured in the United States, while Japanese cards are produced in Japan. The brand is owned by a joint venture between Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures.
