Corona Extra is a pale lager beer first brewed in 1925 by Cervecería Modelo in Mexico City. It is now owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world's largest beer company headquartered in Belgium. In the United States, Constellation Brands imports and distributes Corona Extra, a result of an antitrust settlement during the merger of Grupo Modelo with Anheuser-Busch InBev. The beer is known for its light, refreshing taste and is often served with a wedge of lime or lemon in the neck of the bottle to add tartness and flavor. It is one of the top-selling beers worldwide and is exported to more than 150 countries. The distinctive crown logo from which Corona takes its name is based on the crown that adorns the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in the town of Puerto Vallarta. (beerandbrewing.com)
