Hjem-IS is a Danish ice cream brand known for its home delivery service via distinctive blue vans. The company was founded in 1976 and has undergone several ownership changes. In 2014, it was acquired by four private investors through Hjem-IS Danmark A/S. In 2017, Premier Is took over the company. In November 2023, Hjem-IS rebranded to Fråst to expand its product range beyond ice cream, but reverted to its original name in March 2024 due to customer feedback. The brand is currently owned by the Food Union Group, a Latvian multinational food company specializing in dairy and frozen products. Mejerigaarden, a subsidiary of Food Union Group, operates Hjem-IS in Denmark. The brand is produced in multiple countries, including Denmark, Germany, and Sweden.
