Beck's Beer

Beck's is one of Germany's most recognizable beer brands, founded in 1873 in the city of Bremen by Ludder Rutenberg, Heinrich Schoschkohl, and Thomas May. For over a century, the Brauerei Beck & Co. operated as a private brewery, building an international reputation for its distinctive pilsner characterized by its clear profile and the iconic key logo—a reference to the coat of arms of Bremen.

In 2002, the brewery was acquired by Interbrew, which later merged with AmBev to form InBev. Today, Beck's is a core international brand under Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev), the world's largest brewing conglomerate. While the primary and historic production remains in Bremen, Germany, the brand's global reach means it is also brewed under license in various other countries to supply domestic markets, following the strict standards of the German Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot) for its German-brewed exports.
