Hoepfner Pilsner

Hoepfner Pilsner is a traditional German lager produced by the Privatbrauerei Hoepfner in Karlsruhe. The brewery, established in the late 18th century, is well-known for its high-quality regional beers and its historic castle-like brewery building.

Starting as a local family business, the brand built a strong reputation in the Baden region. In the early 21st century, the ownership shifted. Today, it is part of the Paulaner Brewery Group, a major player in the German beer market which is itself a joint venture between the Schörghuber Corporate Group and Heineken. Despite these corporate changes, the production remains deeply rooted in its original hometown of Karlsruhe, maintaining the specific brewing traditions that define the Hoepfner brand.
