Remia Fritessaus Classic is a quintessential Dutch mayonnaise-style sauce specifically designed for fries. It was first introduced in 1967 as a leaner, lower-fat alternative to traditional mayonnaise. The brand Remia, which celebrates over 100 years of history, remains a dominant force in the Dutch condiment market.
All primary production occurs at the state-of-the-art Remia facility in Den Dolder, Netherlands. This factory is one of Europe's most modern sauce production sites, ensuring high standards of quality and consistency for their extensive range of sauces and dressings.
Remia is a family-owned business, which is relatively rare for a brand of its scale. It is currently owned by the de Rooij family, who have successfully navigated the brand to become an international player, exporting to over 100 countries while maintaining its strong Dutch identity and local production roots.
