In terms of ownership, the brand's trajectory moved from a family-run enterprise to being part of the Salov Group (Società per Azioni Lucchese Olii e Vini) in 1919. In 2014, the Chinese conglomerate Bright Food acquired a majority stake in Salov. As of 2026, the ultimate ownership rests with Bright Food, which is a state-owned enterprise under the Shanghai Municipal People's Government.
