Sun-Maid is one of the world's most iconic brands in the dried fruit category, recognized globally by the 'Sun-Maid Girl' logo created in 1912. The brand originated in Kingsburg, California, as part of the California Associated Raisin Company, a cooperative of grape growers.

Today, Sun-Maid remains a cooperative owned by approximately 600 family farmers in the Central Valley of California. Most of its products, including the classic California Sun-Dried Raisins, are processed and packaged in California. The brand continues to focus on health-conscious snacking and has expanded its portfolio to include granola bars and chocolate-covered fruits while maintaining its heritage as a grower-owned organization.
