Paulaner Hefe-Weißbier is a world-renowned wheat beer originating from Munich, Germany. The brand dates back to 1634, founded by the Minim friars of the Neudeck ob der Au cloister. The order, founded by Francis of Paola, brewed the beer for their own consumption and as a 'liquid bread' during Lent. The brand is deeply rooted in Munich's brewing history and is one of the six breweries allowed to serve beer at Oktoberfest.

Today, the Paulaner Brewery Group is a significant player in the German beer market. It is primarily brewed in Munich at the brewery's Langwied site, adhering to the traditional Reinheitsgebot (German Purity Law).
