Tullamore D.E.W. is an Irish whiskey brand that originated in the town of Tullamore, County Offaly, Ireland, in 1829. The brand is named after Daniel E. Williams, the distillery's general manager and later proprietor, whose initials form the 'D.E.W.' in the brand name. The original distillery closed in 1954, and production moved to the Midleton Distillery in County Cork. In 2010, William Grant & Sons, a Scottish distillery company, acquired the brand and established a new distillery in Tullamore, Ireland, which began production in 2014. Tullamore D.E.W. is now the world's second-largest-selling Irish whiskey brand, with annual sales of approximately 1,500,000 cases as of 2020. The brand is known for its triple-distilled, triple-cask-finished, and triple-blended Irish whiskey, offering a smooth and rich flavor profile. (tullamoredew.com, 1001spirits.com)
