Smirnoff Ice Original

Smirnoff Ice is one of the world's most recognizable malt-based and spirit-based Ready-To-Drink (RTD) beverages. While the Smirnoff brand name traces its history back to a vodka distillery founded in Moscow, Russia in 1864 by Pyotr Arsenievich Smirnov, the modern iteration of the brand was revived in the West after the Russian Revolution. Smirnoff Ice was launched in the late 1990s as a lighter, citrus-flavored alternative to traditional long drinks.

Today, the brand is owned by Diageo, a global leader in beverage alcohol. Manufacturing takes place in multiple countries across Europe, North America, and Australia to serve local markets, often utilizing regional brewing or bottling facilities. In the Nordic markets, including Denmark, the product is typically produced in European facilities under the supervision of Diageo’s international supply chain network.
