Burger King Whopper

Burger King is an American fast-food chain known for its flame-grilled burgers, particularly the Whopper. Founded in 1954 as Insta-Burger King in Jacksonville, Florida, it was rebranded to Burger King by its founders James McLamore and David Edgerton. Over the years, the company has undergone several ownership changes, including acquisitions by Pillsbury in 1967, Grand Metropolitan in 1989, and Diageo in 2000. In 2010, Burger King merged with Canadian coffee and doughnut chain Tim Hortons, forming Restaurant Brands International (RBI). RBI is headquartered in Canada and also owns Popeyes.
