Nespresso Coffee Capsules

Nespresso is a premium coffee brand that revolutionized the industry with its portioned coffee system. Although the concept was patented in 1976 by Nestlé engineer Eric Favre after observing baristas in Italy, the brand was officially launched in 1986. Today, it operates as an autonomous global business unit of the Nestlé Group.

While the raw coffee beans are sourced from over 20 countries across South America, Africa, and Asia through the AAA Sustainable Quality™ Program, the manufacturing of the capsules themselves is highly centralized. Every single Nespresso coffee capsule sold globally is produced in one of three state-of-the-art factories located in Switzerland: Orbe, Avenches, and Romont. Nespresso coffee machines are manufactured via partnerships with various international appliance companies such as Eugster/Frismag, Krups, and De'Longhi, often in European locations like Hungary and Italy.
