Grimbergen Blonde is a Belgian-style abbey beer with a 6.7% ABV, known for its balanced taste and fruity notes. The brand traces its origins to the 12th-century Grimbergen Abbey in Belgium. In 1958, Brouwerij Maes began brewing Grimbergen under a license agreement with the abbey. In 2008, Heineken acquired Brouwerij Maes, leading to a division in brand management: Heineken retained rights to the Grimbergen brand in Belgium, while Carlsberg Group took over the brand outside Belgium. Consequently, Grimbergen Blonde is brewed in multiple countries, including Belgium and France, under the management of these two major brewery groups.
