Schweppes is one of the world's oldest and most iconic beverage brands, famously known for being the first to commercialize carbonated water. The brand was founded in 1783 in Geneva, Switzerland, by Jacob Schweppe, who developed a process to manufacture carbonated mineral water. The brand eventually moved its headquarters to London, where it became the official purveyor of soda water to the British Royal Family.
