Breathe Right nasal strips were invented in the early 1990s by Bruce Johnson, who founded CNS, Inc. to market the product. The brand gained massive recognition after being used by professional football players to improve air intake, eventually becoming a household name for congestion relief and snoring reduction.
Over the decades, the brand's ownership has transitioned through several major pharmaceutical companies. It was acquired by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) in 2006. In 2020, as part of a strategic divestment, the brand was acquired by Foundation Consumer Healthcare. The strips are primarily manufactured in the United States and are distributed globally for drug-free nasal congestion relief.
