Frank's RedHot is an iconic American hot sauce brand with a history dating back to 1918. The product was originally developed in New Iberia, Louisiana, through a partnership between Adam Estilette and Jacob Frank of the Frank Tea & Spice Company. Successfully launched in 1920, the sauce gained legendary status in 1964 as the primary ingredient in the creation of the original Buffalo chicken wings at the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York.

While the brand has strong local availability in Australian supermarkets like Coles and Woolworths, the product continues to be manufactured in the United States, specifically at a large-scale facility in Springfield, Missouri. The production process involves aging premium cayenne peppers and blending them with vinegar, water, salt, and garlic powder to achieve its distinctive tangy flavor profile.

Historically, the brand has changed hands several times, having been owned by Durkee Famous Foods and later Reckitt Benckiser. In 2017, the global spice giant McCormick & Company acquired the brand as part of a multi-billion dollar deal. As of 2026, McCormick & Company remains the ultimate owner, continuing to manage Frank's RedHot alongside other household names like French's and Old Bay, maintaining its position as a global leader in the flavor and condiment industry.
