Fritz-kola is a cult-favorite soft drink brand that originated in Hamburg, Germany. Founded in 2003 by childhood friends Mirco Wolf Wiegert and Lorenz Hampl, the brand was born from a desire to create a cola with significantly higher caffeine content and less sugar than global market leaders. The iconic black-and-white logo features the faces of the two founders, a design choice originally made to save on printing costs during their startup phase.
Today, Fritz-kola is recognized for its strong commitment to sustainability, exclusively using glass bottles and prioritizing a returnable system. While Lorenz Hampl left the business in 2016, Mirco Wiegert remains the majority shareholder and leader of the company. The product is manufactured across five different bottling plants in Germany to maintain efficient regional distribution and minimize its environmental footprint.
