Planters Cocktail Peanuts

Planters is an iconic American snack brand founded in 1906 by Italian immigrant Amedeo Obici and Mario Peruzzi in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Famous for its mascot, Mr. Peanut, the brand became a household name throughout North America for packaged roasted peanuts, cashews, and mixed nuts.

Throughout the decades, ownership of Planters changed several times, passing to Standard Brands, Nabisco, and eventually Kraft Foods (later Kraft Heinz). In June 2021, Kraft Heinz sold the Planters business to Hormel Foods Corporation in a major acquisition valued at over $3 billion.

In Canada, Planters cocktail peanuts distributed in major grocery chains are supplied through Hormel Foods and its Canadian affiliate network, with the products primarily sourced and manufactured at Hormel's nut processing facilities in the United States.
