Bumble and bumble Haircare

Bumble and bumble is a luxury professional haircare and styling brand known worldwide for its salon-grade shampoos, conditioners, and styling products like Surf Spray and Hairdresser's Invisible Oil. Founded in 1977 as a boutique salon in New York City by Michael Gordon, the brand gained fame for editorial hairstyling and innovative formulas.

In 2000, The Estée Lauder Companies acquired a majority stake in Bumble and bumble and completed full acquisition in 2006. Production takes place primarily in the United States alongside contract manufacturing facilities across North America and Europe to supply global markets, including specialty beauty retailers and salons in Spain.

Note on namesakes: Bumble and bumble (haircare) is completely unrelated to Bumble Inc., the American online dating and social networking platform created by Whitney Wolfe Herd, as well as Bumble Bee Foods, the American seafood brand.
